Skin Care
Botox
Botox is the only FDA-approved skin care treatment to temporarily improve the appearance of both moderate to severe frown lines between the brows and crow’s feet lines in adults. It is one of the most extensively studied medical aesthetic treatments, The safety and efficacy of Botox have been evaluated in both clinical trials, as well as in more than 400 peer-reviewed articles in scientific and medical journals.
Botox targets one of the underlying causes of frown lines and crow’s feet – the repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting over the years. When injected with Botox, muscle activity is temporarily reduced, and you will begin to notice a visible smoothing of your crow’s feet lines and frown lines between your brows.
For the crow’s feet area, we inject three areas of the orbicularis oculi, which is the muscle that frames the side of the eye. This will is then repeated on the orbicularis oculi muscle on the other eye. Injecting Botox into the muscles that cause crow’s feet lines temporarily reduces the activity of those muscles. The result is a reduction in the appearance of those lines.
For the frown lines area, we administer five injections into muscles in your forehead – one in the procerus muscle and four in the corrugator muscles. Injecting Botox into the muscles that cause frown lines temporarily reduces the activity of those muscles. The result is a reduction in the appearance of those lines.
The actual injection process takes about 10 minutes, but we will discuss your treatment goals and perform a facial analysis to determine the appropriate treatment areas for you. Once your initial treatment is complete, you may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours for moderate to severe frown lines, with results lasting up to four months.
We may use ice to numb the treatment area. If you are concerned about discomfort, we may apply a topical numbing cream before administering your treatment. Treatment requires minimal downtime or recovery; it’s often called a lunchtime procedure. You’ll be able to go about your normal routine immediately after leaving our Savannah, GA, office.

Latisse
Latisse is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis (inadequate or not enough lashes) to grow eyelashes longer, fuller, and darker. Full results take as long as 16 weeks, which is why it is important that, once you begin using Latisse, you must continue applying the topical solution each night and follow the directions for best results. If you stop using Latisse at any time, your eyelashes will return to their previous appearance over several weeks to months.
As the treatment progresses, you’ll first begin to see changes in length. Then, gradually, you’ll notice more thickness and darkness in your lashes. Clinical trial results showed lashes were:
- 25% longer
- 106% fuller
- 18% darker
Many patients use Latisse in conjunction with other skin care treatments as part of an entire anti-aging regimen.
Lip Enhancements
Also known as lip injections and lip augmentation, lip enhancements cover a variety of skin care treatment options that result in having full, plump lips. A primary reason why so many people seek lip enhancements is that full lips are often considered a sign of good health, beauty, and youth. While many people are born with thin lips, it is not uncommon for people with fuller lips to see their lips thin because of the natural aging process.
A very common skin care treatment to enhance lips is the use of lip injections that take advantage of natural or synthetic fillers. These treatments can keep your lips plump for months at a time. If your lips have become thinner and less full or you simply feel self-conscious about how your lips look, it may be time to consider scheduling a consult in our Savannah, GA, office to review your options. In addition, on many occasions, you will discover that your face will be more balanced by having fuller lips.
